Biography

Gary Files was born in 1938 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He is an actor, known for Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons (1967), The New Adventures of Ocean Girl (2000) and Shadow of the Noose (1989). He has been married to Elva Mai Hoover since 1966. They have one child.

Has a daughter by Elva Mai Hoover, the horror writer Gemma Files

Also a theatre writer and director. In 1993 he Co-founded The Period Pieces Company bringing the classics back to life. In 1998 he became Artistic Director of the series "Crossing the Line", a festival of plays written by established screenwriters.

Is the last surviving male voice cast member from Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons (1967).
