Biography

Born in Gurnee, Illinois, Kim decided to move to Los Angeles in September of 1992 to pursue a career as a celebrity hairstylist in the entertainment industry. Kim's first job was on the science fiction series "Babylon 5". She worked on this cult hit for 5 years and then did the spin-off, "Crusade". After several more years in television, offers came to work on features.The opportunity to work in television, independent films and on studio blockbusters has opened the doors to many interesting people, places and celebrities along the way. Every day on set is a new adventure.

"The Office" episode "Did I Stutter" featured a Nissan Xterra owned by the character 'Andy" that 'Dwight" cons him out of then sells it on ebay for a profit. After that after the episode aired, Andy's Nissan Xterra was placed for sale on eBay. According to the auction listing, the car actually belongs to Kim M. Ferry, the department head hair stylist for the show. Included with the car are autographed memorabilia donated by the actors. The car went to a couple in Oklahoma.

Kim is a Certified "Look Good...Feel Better" Stylist. The Look Good...Feel Better program is a community-based, free, national service. It teaches female cancer patients beauty tips to look better and feel good about how they look during chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

Kim proudly volunteers for "St. Baldricks Foundation" every year at LAFD Fire Station 89 in Van Nuys, CA. Shave the Brave event. This firehouse along with LAPD has raised over $100,000.00 in 2016 for the cause!.
