José A. Ferreyra was born on 28 August 1889 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was a director and writer, known for Calles de Buenos Aires (1934), La gaucha (1921) and Mientras Buenos Aires duerme (1924). He died on 29 January 1943 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Pioneer Argentinian director, actor, writer, artist, set designer and lyricist. In films from 1915. Directed his country&#39;s first sound feature.
