Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Will Ferdy is the stage name of Flemish singer-entertainer Werner Ferdinande, born on the "Nieuwland" in Ghent on 9 march 1927. As a child he performed on private functions as a singer and accomplished imitator. He started acting on local parish stage, soon starting a cabaret group with friends, under the name Will Ferry. In 1948 he decided to become a professional entertainer. He soon made a name as a singer, Will Ferdy, in various song genres. Besides some hits, he also became a regular appearance on Flemish (public monopoly) broadcast, both radio and TV, where he also got some acting parts.

He wrote three autobiographical books: "Zo ben ik nu eenmaal", "De Waarheid" and "De Moeilijke Jaren".
