After spending 12 years as a professional firefighter/paramedic on the east coast, Tom Ferda moved to Los Angeles where he is the EVP of Production & Development at Flying Ape Productions, specializing in comedy and horror.
Originally from Detroit, he has dual Italian and U.S. citizenship passports and is connected to an Italian film company, developing Italy based film projects.
Between his firefighting and film production careers, Ferda also had a five-year stint as a pro sportswriter, covering the NFL, MLB, NHL and NBA; inking features for the Chicago Tribune, Washington Times, Detroit Free Press, Hockey News Magazine (Toronto), the Atlanta Hawks/Thrashers and San Fran Examiner.
