Biography

Carol Fenelon is known for her work with Curtis Hanson as a Music Supervisor and Film Producer. She is also the CEO of Deuce Three Productions. After receiving her undergraduate degree from Yale and a law degree from the University of California, Fenelon worked as a business affairs executive for several record labels in Los Angeles and New York. During that time, she also worked with Hanson as his Music Supervisor and Soundtrack Album Producer on Bad Influence (1990), The River Wild (1994) and Wonder Boys (2000). Wonder Boys featured Bob Dylan's "Things Have Changed," which earned Dylan both a Golden Globe (2001) and an Oscar for Best Original Song (2001). After the release of Wonder Boys, Fenelon left her position as Senior Vice President of Business Affairs at Arista Records to join Hanson as his producing partner at Deuce Three. Their first shared production effort was 8 Mile (2002). Fenelon was also the Music Supervisor on the film. 8 Mile featured Eminem's Oscar winning song, "Lose Yourself," which was subsequently accorded Diamond status by the RIAA and remains one of Eminem's top selling singles. Following 8 Mile, Fenelon collaborated with Hanson as both Film Producer and Music Supervisor on the Fox 2000 release In Her Shoes (2005) and the Warner Bros. feature film Lucky You (2007). Her more recent credits include the HBO film Too Big to Fail (2011), the FX television pilot Hoke (2014) and the documentary Skid Row Marathon (2017).
