Mini bio

  • Christiane Vera Felscherinow, born May 20, 1962, in Hamburg, Germany, is a writer, actress, and musician. Her path to recognition started in Berlin 1978, when she appeared as a witness in a trial against a man who paid under aged girls with heroin in return for sex. Two journalists who attended the trial was affected by Christiane's testimony. They interviewed her for two months about her life as a teenage drug-user and sex worker. The talks resulted in a series of articles in the reputable German magazine Stern in 1979. Later, the same year, Stern published "Christiane F. - Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo". In 1981 Uli Edel directed the film about Christian F, with the young actress Natja Brunckhorst in the lead, including David Bowie acting and performing as well as providing the soundtrack. Christiane Felscherinow acted in two new wave German films, "Neonstadt" (1982) and "Decoder" (1984). During the 80's in Berlin, Christiane became the underground celebrity, with close relationships with many cult stars in the music industry. In 2014 she published "Mein zweites Leben" - an updated biography about her life and the Christiane F aftermath.
