Farnese served in the US armed services until 1955, where he was a cinematographer, responsible for capturing various training implementations and filming operational procedures.
In 1966, Farnese and Anthony Laganella created the hosted children's show "Dickory Doc", where he starred as "Dickory Doc". The show ran from 1966 until 1969. Farnese would go on to host "Adam Android" from around 1971 until about 1973.
From around the mid 1970s, Fanese worked as a freelance director, producer and writer working at various production houses in Philadelphia directing television commercials for clients.
