Biography

William Fairbanks was born on May 24, 1894 in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. He was an actor, known for Wyoming (1928), Border Women (1924) and Racing for Life (1924). He was married to Edna Whitson. He died on April 1, 1945 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

German-American silent screen leading man, a former stationer's clerk. He starred mainly in westerns and action films. By the 1920's, he was under contract to independent producers Phil Goldstone and Ben F. Wilson. Fairbanks retired from films in 1928. He was not related in any way to his famous namesake, Douglas.
