- Estelle Etterre was born on July 26, 1899 in San Francisco, California, USA. She was an actress, known for Free Wheeling (1932), My Woman (1933) and Sisters Under the Skin (1934). She died on March 7, 1996 in Newport Beach, California, USA.
- Captured national attention in 1928 when she was spotted by renowned American artist James Montgomery Flagg in a cafe and, captivated by her beauty, he insisted on sketching her. Because he didn't have any paper available in the moment, he drew her likeness on the head of a drum used by the cafe's house band.
- She started her career in the entertainment industry as a model. She was also a dancer who appeared in some reviews on the West Coast of the United States in the early 1930s.
- In an article she wrote in 1936 about her career, Etterre credited Pearl Eaton with giving her a break in films. Eaton had seen her performing at the Montmartre nightclub in Hollywood; in her position as choreographer at RKO, Eaton hired Etterre to be one of her core dancers.
