- Samantha Espie is a first generation Canadian actress based in Toronto. Some of her credits include Twisted Metal (2025), Spirit in the Blood (2024), Gen V (2023), Christmas on the Alpaca Farm (2023), The End of Sex (2022), Run The Burbs (2022). She is known for her role as Jacquie Davison in the limited series Mrs.America (2020) for FX on Hulu.
She was born and raised in the greater Toronto area and her Glaswegian father claims she was a natural as soon as the super 8 rolled. From a young age, her promise was apparent with recognition by the Sears Drama Festival winning the national Award of Excellence for Performance in A Song For My Mother. More accolades soon followed high school graduation for Sam with professional roles in Salt Water Moon at the Bancroft Summer Playhouse and Free Time, an a cappella quartet at the Canadian National Exhibition. It wasn't long after completing TMU's prestigious acting program that Sam found herself opposite of a star studded cast in Neil Simon's Laughter on the 23rd Floor for Showtime.
Many film and television experiences followed that landed Sam at The Stratford Festival's Birmingham Conservatory of Classical Theatre Training where upon completion, she was hired as a company member for the 50th anniversary season in both parts of Henry the IV and The Two Noble Kinsmen, understudying the Jailer's Daughter. All while recording episodes of the animated series: Chilly Beach (CBC) and Carl Squared (Teletoon). It was this scope of time that ultimately prepared her for a bright future in the industry and lead to co-star as Cecily for Soulpepper's, The Importance of Being Earnest in both Toronto and Montreal productions.
A Golden Sheaf nominated best actress for CBC's The 13th Mission, Sam continues to hone her craft, most notably studying improv with Toronto's Kate Ashby, clown with Philippe Gaulier held at The University of Chicago and participating in Women In The Director's Chair at the Banff Art Centre for Arts and Creativity.

- She was originally cast as Adult Lily in an earlier version of Thomas and the Magic Railroad (2000), the scene would show Lily and Patch 20 years later, were married and had kids. Her scenes however, were later cut.
