- Jan Englert is a distinguished Polish actor and director. He graduated from the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw in 1964. Englert made his acting debut at the age of 14 in movie Kanal (1957). He gained prominence with roles in Salt of the Black Earth (1970), Perla w koronie (1972), and the TV series The Disappearance (2018). Since 2003, he has served as Artistic Director of the National Theatre in Warsaw. Additionally, Englert has been a respected lecturer at the State Drama School in Warsaw since 1980, shaping future generations of actors.
