Biography

Harry Endo was born on July 20, 1922 in Denver, Colorado, USA. He was an actor, known for Magnum, P.I. (1980), Hawaii Five-O (1968) and Murder, She Wrote (1984). He was married to Myrtle. He died on January 9, 2009 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA.

He worked for Territorial Savings Bank. Endo had made a commercial for the bank when he was approached to play the character of Che Fong as one of the original cast members of 'Hawaii-Five O'.

Born in Colorado but spent much of his life in Hawaii.

Died just 21 months before the premiere of the reboot series, Hawaii Five-0 (2010).

His most famous role, lab technician Che Fong on the original _"Hawaii Five-O" (1968), was renamed as Charlie Fong on the reboot series, Hawaii Five-0 (2010), with the character appearing much less often than in the original series (Che Fong had 115 appearances from 1969-1977). Charlie Fong appeared just thirty times beginning in 2011, and has been portrayed by Brian Yang, but lab tech Charlie Fong's last appearance (as of December 2016) in the reboot series was in 2014.
