- Sandor Elès was born on June 15, 1936 in Budapest, Hungary. He was an actor, known for Love and Death (1975), And Soon the Darkness (1970) and The Young Lady from London (1959). He died on September 4, 2002 in Kilburn, London, England, UK.
- Trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.
- Lost his parents during World War II. Emigrated to Britain in the aftermath of the Hungarian Uprising of 1956. Acted on stage and in films, the latter finding him frequently as Russian defectors, KGB agents and Nazi officers.
- In 1963 he was playing Jesus Christ in Christos Nazrites (Christ of Nazareth) being produced by Carl Foreman at the Zerbos Studios in Athens in 1963 but it was unfinished.
- Had a part in the film Tamahine (1963) but it was cut out.
- Escaped from behind the Iron Curtain in a horse and cart soon after the Hungarian uprising.
