Biography

Arne Elsholtz was born on August 14, 1944 in Pritzwalk, Brandenburg, Germany. He was an actor, known for Blade Runner (1982), Jurassic Park (1993) and Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983). He died on April 26, 2016 in Berlin, Germany.

Has a daughter, Sissi, formerly the German voice of Clyde in "South Park".

One of the most recognized German voices. Usually does the German dubbing for Tom Hanks, Bill Murray, Kevin Kline, Eric Idle, Steve Guttenberg, Robert Hughes and Jeff Goldblum.

He was the voice of German radio commercials for Black Forest mineral water. Clips of his his voiceover work were used for several years after his passing before he was replaced.

Next to voice acting, he was also involved in the dubbing process for many films. His unique voice acting style, as well as the way he translated dialogues for German dubs, gained him the status of a genius in the industry.
