Pee Wee Ellis was born on 21 April 1941 in Bradenton, Florida, USA. He was an actor and writer, known for Undercover Brother (2002), BlacKkKlansman (2018) and Dead Presidents (1995). He was married to Charlotte Crofton-Sleigh and Barbara Tringali. He died on 24 September 2021 in the UK.

He was a saxophonist and pioneer of funk music who was the musical director for James Brown in the late 1960s.
