Biography

John S.D. Eisenhower is a United States Army officer, diplomat, and military historian.

The son of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, his decorated military career spanned from before, during, and after his father's presidency, and he would retire from active duty in 1963 and then altogether in 1974. From 1969 to 1971, he served as United States Ambassador to Belgium during the administration of President Richard Nixon, previously his father's Vice President.

The second son of the 34th U.S. President, Dwight D. Eisenhower and Mamie Eisenhower. Brother of Doud Dwight Eisenhower (1917-1921), who died of scarlet fever. Father of David Eisenhower (b. 31 March 1948 in West Point), Barbara Anne Eisenhower (b. 30 May 1949 in West Point), Susan Eisenhower (b. 31 December 1951 in Fort Knox) and Mary Jean Eisenhower (b. 21 December 1955 in Washington). Grandfather of Laura Magdelene Eisenhower, who is known for Alien & UFO disclosure, linking it directly back to his father's time in office.

He attended West Point in an accelerated wartime program. He graduated on June 6, 1944 - by coincidence, the date of the allied invasion of Normandy overseen by his father.

After WWII, he taught English at West Point, and received a masters degree from Columbia University.

He saw combat with the Third Infantry Division during the Korean conflict. He received the Combat Infantryman's Badge and the Bronze Star.

Later in life, he wrote several history books and biographies.
