  • After receiving his MA in Telecommunications and Film from San Diego State University, Matthew Eisen's first film credit was as Script Consultant on the Academy-Award nominated documentary "In the Name of the People." He then became a staff producer at San Diego's public broadcasting station KPBS-TV, where he wrote, produced and directed a variety of documentaries and television specials for local and national PBS broadcast.

    From 1993-1997 Eisen was a Hollywood screenwriter. His 1993 ABC Sunday Night Movie, "Lies and Lullabies", drew over 14 million television viewers. In 1997 he returned to KPBS-TV as an executive producer/director/writer, and also worked as a contract writer for the Discovery Channel and The Learning Channel.

    Eisen founded Crosskeys Media in 2002, a television and video production company. Crosskeys produced the 2006 PBS national television series "Remaking American Medicine". The series was seen by more than 7 million viewers, and was supported by a national outreach campaign that partnered with 49 leading healthcare organizations. It was honored as the best network television program of the year by the National Association of Healthcare Journalists.

    Since 2007, Eisen has produced, directed and written a wide range of media projects, including documentaries, live television award shows, community outreach campaigns, interactive e-learning courses, and marketing videos.

    Eisen currently creates multimedia for the biotech, healthcare and life science industries.
