- On February 15, 1954, Jack Eigen engaged in a kiss with actress Cleo Moore that lasted for an estimated five minutes. Moore -- who was promoting her movie "Bait" -- and Eigen locked lips during a live broadcast of Eigen's show on Chicago's WBKB (ABC's Channel 7). The following day, following a flood of calls from irate viewers, WBKB's station manager, Sterling "Red" Quinlan, sent Eigen a telegram informing him that he was being dismissed from his job "due to extreme poor taste exhibited in [Monday night's] telecast...".
