Biography

Raine Rafter is a Makeup and Hair Designer with 30+ years of experience. As a high school dropout, Raine has developed a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a common-sense approach to running her Department.

Raine loves the diversity of her work, collaborating with directors, cast and crew to help tell the story. Learning some of her skills on the job, Raine has exceptional versatility, from beauty styling to bloody, grungy makeup and hair. She has expertise in designing trauma, tattoos, blood and dirt, With Raw and punchy period styling of Origins for National Geographic and Mankind - The History of Us, with the latest being Martin Scorsese's The Saints for Fox Nation.

Raine has worked extensively in Southern Africa; she has moved her career as a talented Makeup & Hair designer to Scotland and England, with experience working in Ireland, Eastern Europe, Spain and Malta.
