Biography

Lisa Blake Richards was born on May 5, 1941 in New York City, New York, USA. She is an actress, known for Mr. Mom (1983), Rolling Thunder (1977) and Heaven Can Wait (1978).

She was born in Brooklyn, New York, but moved to North Carolina when she was five years old. When she moved back to New York, she had a southern accent but soon lost it.

She wanted to be a dancer when she was young, but got the acting bug when she was into an acting class at the age of 17.

Married Frederic Kimball on January 29, 1968. When she first met him, she said she was scared of him, but later thought of him as a friend, and then fell in love with him. She first met him when she was 20 years old, and had been called in to replace an actress in what she called her "second professional non-paying job". As she walked into the playwrights' workshop at 12 midnight, she heard the big booming voice of her future husband firing her predecessor.

She is the mother of singer songwriter Alex Ebert of Ima Robot and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros.
