- TriviaEric entered a scholarship competition from ABC-TV. Out of 24,000 entrants, only 16--including Edwards--received two-year scholarships through the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. For his audition he played a part from "The Taming of the Shrew", a role he's been unable to master in real life, and earned a scholarship to the Academy. After graduating from the Academy in 1967 and receiving his diploma from the hand of actress Helen Hayes, he signed with the William Morris Agency (under his real name of Rob Everett). He did "straight" acting over the next eight years, performing regularly on stage at summer stock programs around the country and appearing in commercials for Gillette, Coleco Toys, Close-Up toothpaste and other products.
- Quotes[Why he switched to editing porn instead of acting in it] I gave up acting for the sake of my kids.
