George Eckstein

He received degrees in theater arts from Stanford and UCLA, and a law degree from USC, before serving in the Army 1953-1955.
He co-wrote the classic final episode of The Fugitive (1963), and produced the TV movie Duel (1971), which he hired 24-year-old Steven Spielberg to direct, helping launch his career.
Grandfather of Ivy Withrow.
Father of actress Hallie Todd and Nora Eckstein.
Father-in-law of Glenn Withrow.
