Classically trained stage actor, active from 1957. Ensemble member of the Städtischen Bühnen Erfurt (1959-62) and the Leipziger Schauspielhaus (1962-2006). Also author, stage director, TV actor and voice-over performer.
From 1965 to 2000, Eberle worked as a lecturer at the University of Music and Theatre "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Leipzig and was appointed professor in 1994.
