- Richard Easton was born on March 22, 1933 in Montréal, Québec, Canada. He was an actor, known for Revolutionary Road (2008), Dead Again (1991) and Henry V (1989). He died on December 2, 2019 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA.
- His bravura work at the Royal Shakespeare Compony during the 1984-1986 seasons included "Henry V" with Kenneth Branagh, "The Merchant of Venice", with Roger Rees in "Hamlet", "Love's Labour's Lost," "The Winter's Tale," "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and with Jeremy Irons in "Richard II".
- Won Broadway's 2001 Tony Award as Best Actor (Play) for "The Invention of Love."
- Became a character star on Broadway when he won the Tony Award for "The Invention of Love" (2000). Went on to include "Noises Off" (2001), "Observe the Sons of Ulter Marching Towards the Somme" (2003) and the title role in "Henry IV" opposite Kevin Kline as Falstaff and Ethan Hawke as Hotspur.
- Found a decade's worth of classical work at San Diego's Old Globe Theatre where he enjoyed character star roles: Estragon in "Waiting for Godot," Prospero in "The Tempest", Antonio in "The Merchant of Venice" and the title role in "Uncle Vanya".
