Biography

Screenwriter. Robert Easter attended the University of Kentucky, majoring in political science. A one-time comedy performer and advertising copywriter, Easter was also a frontline combat U.S. marine during the Vietnam War -- an experience which infuses his action sequences with a particularly strong sense of realism. Easter began his screenwriting career by co-writing the cult horror classic film "The Toolbox Murders." His teleplay credits range from the premiere episodes of Steven Bochco's NBC-TV series "Richie Brockelman, Private Eye" to D.C. Animation's "Wheeled Warriors." Subsequently, other films penned by Easter include the martial arts actioners "Out for Blood" (as David S. Green) and "Red Sun Rising" (as David S. Green) both HBO World Premiere Movies, as well as "Sworn to Justice," the only American martial arts-themed picture ever invited to film festivals worldwide. Most recently Easter wrote Award Entertainment's romantic comedies "Just Sue Me," starring Tom Arnold, William McNamara and Randall Batinkov, and "Kiss Toledo Goodbye," starring Michael Rapaport, Christopher Walken, Robert Forster and Christine Taylor. Robert Easter specializes in character-based action dramas and comedies.
