Robert Sharples was born on 2 July 1913 in Bury, Lancashire, England, UK. He was a composer and actor, known for Spy Hard (1996), The Strange World of Planet X (1958) and Special Branch (1969). He was married to Christina Sharples. He died on 8 September 1987 in Camden, London, England, UK.

His music in the 1960&#39;s was of the reverberated-guitar/spy-movie sound, or spy-guitar, like John Barry, only Robert was around longer. Both he and Barry did British New Wave crime films (aka kitchen sink dramas) in the late 1950&#39;s and early 1960&#39;s.
