Biography

Luis Dávila was born on July 15, 1927 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was an actor, known for Espionage in Tangiers (1965), Ypotron - Final Countdown (1966) and Le tigri di Mompracem (1970). He died on August 21, 1998 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Luis Dávila suffered from a heart condition and also had serious mobility problems due to an accident he had suffered in Chile eight years earlier, in which he fractured his leg and hip. His remains rest in the actors' section of the Chacarita Cemetery.

During the 14 years he lived in Spain, he starred in some of the so-called spaghetti westerns with stars such as Claudia Cardinale, Lino Ventura and Giuliano Gemma .

He appeared in over 80 films, including Argentine and Spanish productions, and numerous television programs, and often played the quintessential leading man seen alongside major stars in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, such as Silvia and Mirtha Legrand, Julia Sandoval, Lolita Torres, Silvia Montanari, Irma Roy, and Lilián del Río .

Although he acted in two films in 1952, such as "El baldío" with Beba Bidart and Olga Zubarry and "Vigilantes y ladrones", it was in 1954 where he made his professional debut alongside Laura Hidalgo in "María Magdalena" .
