André Dziezuk

Grandson of a Belorussian and Ukrainian couple in love with music, son of an accordionist who founded "L'Orchestre des Quatre Frères" (he was one of the four brothers), this native of Thionville, in the North East of France, could not (nor wished to) escape Euterpe. The child quickly integrated the brass band of his village, where he learned the clarinet and oboe. Later, with his literary baccalaureate in his pocket, he studied simultaneously at the Metz Conservatory and the city's Faculty of Musicology, before embarking on a two-decade dual career as a music teacher at the Villerupt College and as a multi-card musician. Endowed with an insatiable curiosity, he explored various instruments (playing the bass in a a punk-rock band, the saxophone in a jazz group) as well as the most diverse styles (jazz, electro, punk-rock, electro, techno, world music, rap, improvisation). It was by joining the Acid Jazz Parparu collective that he made a decisive meeting, that of Marc Mergen. Together, they were approached to enter the world of film music. Together, they composed the soundtrack for "Une liaison pornographique". Since then, having resigned from the National Education Department due to overworked employment, André Dziezuk has devoted himself full-time to film music. In 2019 he had written no fewer than 45 scores. Full-time? Well, almost... because this workaholic still finds time to teach oboe and computer music at the music school in Dudelange, Luxembourg.
