  • Vanessa Dylyn is an award-winning and Emmy-nominated producer of important documentary films that have been financed by international partners and broadcasters such as Netflix, CBC, National Geographic, Bell Media, Telus, TVO, Sky Vision, ARTE France. She has worked closely with leading artists such as Sting, Michael Buble, Leslie Caron and Werner Herzog. Her recent film Plastic People , (White Pine Pictures) about the dangers of microplastics, was named by Variety as one of the top documentaries of 2024. It won the 2025 Science and Technology award at the Banff World Media Festival and a Canadian Screen Award Her new film Covid Collateral, an expose of the suppression of science during Covid, features Jay Bhattacharya. (Director of NIH) Her Covid Collateral interview with The National Post was named its top podcast of 2024. Her recent film The Good Virus, (Telus) about a revolutionary solution to superbugs, was invited to screen at Yale University. Other notable credits include: The Divided Brain for the CBC, featuring renowned psychiatrist Dr Iain McGilchrist; Into the Inferno directed by Werner Herzog about man’s relationship with volcanoes for Netflix; Undercover Jihadi for TVO, featuring Mubin Shaikh, whose testimony sent eleven Jihadists to prison; The Woman Who Joined the Taliban, for the CBC, Leslie Caron: the Reluctant Star, an arts documentary on the career of the star of An American in Paris, for ARTE France. And The Musical Brain, featuring Sting and his brain, for CTV/Nat Geo International. Before her television career, Vanessa was an actor and theatre producer who adapted works for the stage, including several novels of the Booker Prize winner, Julian Barnes.
