Yan B. Dyl was born on 8 June 1887 in Le Mans, Sarthe, France. Yan B. was a director, known for La conquête des Gaules (1923). Yan B. died on 17 December 1944 in Buchenwald, Germany.

A close friend of Robert Delaunay and other celebrities, Yan B. Dyl was a famous cubist painter. During WW2, he was a member of the french Resistance.
