Biography

Born and raised in Southern California, Paula Hunziker obtained a Bachelors degree from Cal State University Long Beach Radio, TV & Film department. She pursued her love of filmmaking into her career as a Script Supervisor, working on many independent features and for the last 17 years in Episodic Television. She had her episodic directorial debut on ABC Family's/Freeform hit show "Pretty Little Liars", followed up with a second episode the next season. In December 2012, Paula directed, co-wrote and produced her 15-minute multi-award winning short film "You & Me".

Throughout her countless time on set, Paula transitioned her years of knowledge and experience into a successful career as a Director. In December 2012, Paula directed, co-wrote and produced her 15-minute short film "You & Me" garnering her multiple awards on the festival circuit including Grand Jury award Best Featurette and Best Director- Featurette. Paula's success of her short film granted her coveted spots in two studio directing programs. She is an alumni of the Warner Bros Directing Workshop as well as the ABC/Disney Directing Program. Paula had her episodic directorial debut on ABC Family's/Freeform hit show "Pretty Little Liars", followed up with a second episode the next season. Paula has since gone on to direct several episodes of Television including Fox's hit shows 911 and 911 Lonestar for Ryan Murphy Television Prods as well as several episodes of ABC's acclaimed series Station19 for Shondaland.
