Biography

Phil Dusenberry was born on April 28, 1936 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA. He was a writer and director, known for The Natural (1984), Hail (1972) and The Reagan Years (1992). He was married to Susan and Susan Dusenberry. He died on December 29, 2007 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA.

Longtime advertising executive and corporate manager. Wrote memorable advertising slogans for General Electric ("We bring good things to life"), Gillette razors ("The best a man can get"), and Home Box Office ("It's not TV. It's HBO").

Former chairman of BBDO North America who created ad campaigns for Pepsi and General Electric. Son of a cab driver.

Inducted into the Advertising Hall of Fame in 2002.
