Frequently works with Mike Leigh and Joe Wright since she served as costume designer for Leigh's film: All or Nothing (2002), and for Wright's feature film directorial debut of Pride & Prejudice (2005).

Invited to join the AMPAS in 2006

As of 2020, she has contributed with the costume design of four films that were nominated for the Best Picture Oscar: Atonement (2007), Darkest Hour (2017), 1917 (2019), and Little Women (2019).
