Biography

Bud Duncan was born on October 31, 1883 in Brooklyn, New York, USA. He was an actor and writer, known for Private Snuffy Smith (1942), Smile, Buttercup, Smile (1929) and Hillbilly Blitzkrieg (1942). He died on November 25, 1960 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

He was a little person. He was also the voice of The Cinnamon Bear a Christmas time adventure cliffhanger Radio show produced in 1937.

Pint-sized silent screen comedian, partner of Lloyd Hamilton in the 'Ham & Bud' comedy shorts produced at Kalem in the 1910's. Appeared on his own during the 1920's, in a series of comedies released by Reelcraft and Darmour/FBO.

A filmed puppet show provided the visuals for a television adaptation of Bud Duncan's starring radio role as the title role of THE CINNAMON BEAR with the recorded transcription of that 31 episode radio serial providing the audio story. A complete CINNAMON BEAR Television serial has yet to surface' although there have been some scattered reports of several of the chapters being found .
