Biography

Education: (1) Hoboken High School (New Jersey - 1970) (2) Bergen Community College (New Jersey - A.A.S. Degree - Business Computer Programming, 1981) (3) Evangel University (Springfield, Missouri - B.S. Degree - Biblical Studies/Theology, 1983) (4) Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS) (Springfield, Missouri - M.A. Degree, Master of Divinity, 1984, 1986).

In Los Angeles County, Joe Duffy has worked with student filmmakers helping them to complete their M.F.A. thesis and undergraduate films. Joe has worked with film students at the University of California (UCLA), University of Southern California (USC), Loyola Marymount University (LMU), Occidental College, American Film Institute (AFI), New York Film Academy (NYFA), Cal State University (CSULA), Columbia University (New York City), and the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor).

As a Screen Actors Guild (SAG/AFTRA) member, Joe Duffy is a character actor doing principal, U5, featured background, and bit parts/cameos several times a year. Joe was on the SAG Nominating Committee for the 2009 Screen Actors Guild Awards. Joe belongs to the SAG Film Society, and frequently attends SAG Foundation special events.

Joe Duffy is a Credentialed Substitute Teacher for nineteen years in three California school districts. In Beverly Hills, California, Joe has worked at Beverly Hills High School (BHHS) for the past decade.

Joe Duffy is bi-coastal and mid-Western. Joe is a native of Hoboken, New Jersey. In the 1980s, Joe lived for several years in Springfield, Missouri pursuing theological studies there. Finally, Joe settled down in Los Angeles, California for over twenty-five years now.
