Biography

Geoffrey Drake was born in 1911. He was a production designer and art director, known for The Guns of Navarone (1961), Jason and the Argonauts (1963) and The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957). He died in 1995.

Much associated with the British-made films of Columbia Pictures between the late 1950s and 1970s. In particular, he became a frequent collaborator of Carl Foreman's after they had both been connected with "The Bridge On The River Kwai"; he subsequently worked on six films made by Foreman's company, Open Road Productions.
