  • David Dozoretz directed and co-wrote Liverpool BOLOFEST 2020, 2021 and 2022 virtual Christmas parade TV shows and commercial campaigns, which included original animated content from LEGO, Star Wars, Marvel, Batman, Disney, Barbie, Paw Patrol, Hot Wheels and more, and was seen by over 50 million viewers.

    Dozoretz also created, directed and was show-runner for two seasons of the NBCUniversal worldwide-distributed ZAFARI, a children's animated show that celebrates diversity and was the first TV show ever produced exclusively in the Unreal real-time game engine. Unreal is now utilized regularly in virtual production stages and real-time animation. Dozoretz was awarded Infinity's "Best Use of a Game Engine in a TV Show" and he is a frequent consultant for use of the Unreal engine for content creation.

    He acted as Second Unit Director on New Line's Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D, the first ever digital stereoscopic feature and Visual Effects Supervisor on a number of feature films. Before that, while at ILM, Lucasfilm and then his own company Persistence of Vision, Dozoretz helped pioneer the now industry standard pre-visualization process on tentpole franchises such as multiple Star Wars and Mission: Impossible films, Star Trek, Jurassic Park, Forrest Gump and more.

    Dozoretz has lectured at UCLA and USC Film Schools, Art Center, the Gnomon School of Visual Effects, the Australian Film, Television, and Radio School, and Tokyo's Digital Hollywood Institute. Articles with with him have appeared in Wired, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, American Cinematographer, Cinefex, Animation World Network, CartoonBrew and more. He is a member of the Director's Guild of America, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and the Visual Effects Society. He holds patents for television interface and industrial design.
