- Johnny Downs was born on October 10, 1913 in Brooklyn, New York, USA. He was an actor, known for The Mad Monster (1942), Coronado (1935) and College Holiday (1936). He was married to June Ellen Draper. He died on June 6, 1994 in Coronado, California, USA.

- Performed as a member of 'Our Gang' from the age of eight. He later had success on the vaudeville circuit as a song-and-dance man before returning to film acting in the 1930's.

Set against the backdrop of an airport hanger and playing a former WWII pilot, "Johnny Jet" entertained and informed his studio audiences and his viewers in between reruns of "The Little Rascals" film comedies.
