Biography

Jack Dougherty was born on November 16, 1895 in Bowling Green, Missouri, USA. He was an actor, known for The Runaway Express (1926), The Radio Detective (1926) and The Fire Fighters (1927). He was married to Virginia Brown Faire and Barbara La Marr. He died on May 16, 1938 in Hollywood Hills, California, USA.

Died of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Minor leading man of second-feature westerns, melodramas and serials for Universal in the 1920s. He was reduced to playing unnamed thugs and henchmen in small supporting roles during the sound era. Former husband of actresses Barbara La Marr and Virginia Brown Faire. Committed suicide.
