Biography

Nina Doni was born on May 9, 1936 in Olanesti, Stefan Voda District, Moldova. She was an actress, known for Sandu Follows the Sun (1962), Eta muzhskaya druzhba (1982) and Naydi na schaste podkovu (1983). She died on September 23, 2025.

Doni became a Master of Arts of the Republic of Moldova in 1993, and she was decorated with the Medal "Veteran of Labor" in 1987 and the Order of Honor in 2010.

Nina Doni was a theater and film actress from the Republic of Moldova.

Over the course of six decades, the actress has played dozens of roles, standing out in shows such as "The Wedding Suit," "Flowers of the Field," "The Wiles of Scapen," "The Marriage," and "The Author Dies Today." Critics have described her performance as sober and impressive.

Returning in the sixties to Chisinau, she founded, together with Ion Ungureanu, Dumitru Fusu, Vera Mereuta and other colleagues, the first troupe of the "Luceafarul" Theater.

She graduated from the "B. Sciukin" Theater School in Moscow in 1960.
