Biography

Ermanno Donati was born on March 3, 1920 in Rome, Lazio, Italy. He was a producer and production manager, known for Mafia (1968), Matchless (1967) and The Third Eye (1966). He was married to Vira Silenti. He died on July 9, 1979 in London, England, UK.

As a producer, he released numerous successful films on the market, preferring in more recent years, historical-mythological films.

In 1950 he founded the Athena Cinematografica company with Luigi Carpentieri.

Along with Luigi Carpentieri, Donati won the Nastro d'Argento award for Best Producer for the film "The Day of the Owl".

Ermanno Donati was an Italian film producer, writer, screenwriter, and costume designer.

Donati won two awards for best producer: David di Donatello (1968) and Nastri d'Argento (1969).
