Matt believes storytellers show us who we are, remind us who we have been, and dare us to imagine who we could be. That the stories we tell shape reality and heal society. Matt Doherty’s first feature film, "Failed State" recently debuted at JDIFF and now anchors a proprietary platform meant to shine a light on the power of punk rock cinema. He is an in demand story consultant and screenwriter working in adaptation. He recently wrote Out of Darkness for Known Films and has placed or been runner up at 17 screenwriting / playwrighting festivals (including the prestigious Academy Nicholl Fellowship). He starred in the Mighty Ducks franchise before he transitioned to work as a writer, Director and producer upon graduating from Northwestern University.
