Biography

Evgeniy Doga was born on March 1, 1937 in Mokra, Rybnitsa raion, Moldavian ASSR, Ukrainian SSR, USSR [now Mocra, Rabnitsa District, Moldova or the unrecognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (Transnistria)]. He was a composer, known for Ryabinovyy vals (2010), The Road Within (2014) and Queen of the Gypsies (1976). He was married to Natalia Doga. He died on June 3, 2025 in Chisinau, Moldova.

He often uses a female voice.

A feature of his symphonic music is bright orchestration, as well as an abundance of background singing technique.

I try to make elevated music. Of course, it is unlikely to be able to fight against pikes, rapiers and sabers. But it should add at least a drop of heartfelt and soulful. Otherwise, what is the point of it? Art should bring the good; it should make the world better.

Love and romance are at the foundation of our whole being. We don't always agree with this, we begin deviating to the left and right, but there is only one direction - towards the human soul.

I see creativity as non-figurative,inexplicable amorousness.It's like a fleeting stir of warm wind in a stream of cold air.
