- Dorothy Dix was the sister of 'western' character film actor Tex Harding, birth name John Thye. She was approximately 8 years older than her brother John. She stopped making films in 1936 after her mother's death. She never had any children. Her sister Marie Louise Thye also did some uncredited work in the industry.
