- Richard Dindo was born on June 5, 1944 in Zürich, Zürich, Switzerland. He was a director and writer, known for Schweizer im spanischen Bürgerkrieg (1974), Genet à Chatila (1999) and Ernesto Che Guevara, the Bolivian Diary (1994). He died on February 12, 2025 in Paris, France.

In so doing, Richard Dindo challenged Switzerland's self-perception.
- Max Frisch, whom he calls "our teacher and educator", was for him a great man. Ever since he filmed Max Frisch, Diary I-III in 1981, he had been dreaming of a film adaptation of Homo Faber. He did just that in 2014 with Homo Faber (Drei Frauen), in which Dindo tells the story of Swiss engineer Walter Faber, who falls in love with his own daughter. From start to finish, the film is a documentary.
