Biography

Chris Difford was born on November 4, 1954 in Greenwich, London, England, UK. He is an actor and composer, known for Reality Bites (1994), Hackers (1995) and The Truth About Cats & Dogs (1996). He has been married to Louise Difford since April 27, 2013. He was previously married to Cindy Difford.

In 1972 he was a member of David Bowie's road crew on the UK tour of Bowie's Ziggy Stardust UK tour.

Winner (with Glenn Tilbrook) of the 2008 Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music.

Founding Member with Glenn Tilbrook of the British Pop/New Wave Band SQUEEZE. Producing snappy Alternative Pop tunes throughout the 70's, 80's and 90's to the present. Squeeze's biggest hit being "Hourglass".

I met David Bowie while I was a roadie for him, although I use the word roadie loosely. A friend of mine was his tour manager, and I tagged along and helped paint things for the set and fetched wood from the yard. I was more of a gofer. David was wonderful to be around, like someone from Mars.
