Biography

Dez Dickerson was born on August 7, 1955 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. He is an actor and composer, known for Purple Rain (1984), Sinbad's Summer Jam 5: 70's Soul Music Festival (1999) and Vanity 6: He's So Dull (1982). He was previously married to Rebecca.

Kamikaze headband

Owns his own recording label, Absolute Records, which is a Christian label.

Played lead guitar in Prince's backing band, the Revolution, from 1979-1983.

After leaving the Revolution, he formed his own short-lived band, the Modernaires, and toured in support of Billy Idol.

His trademark guitar solo for "Little Red Corvette" ranked #64 on Guitar World's list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Solos.
