J.G. Devlin was born on October 8, 1907 in Belfast, Ireland [now Northern Ireland], UK. He was an actor, known for Far and Away (1992), Bread (1986) and Darby O'Gill and the Little People (1959). He was married to Veen. He died on October 17, 1991 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK.

Irish stage and screen character actor, who narrowly missed out being cast as Albert in the long-running TV series Steptoe and Son (1962). He was second choice after Wilfrid Brambell.

Began acting on stage in 1932.
