Active for over twenty years in the film industry, Sylvie Desmarais navigates with the same rigor between local auteur cinema and large-scale productions. A major collaborator in Quebec cinema, she served as production designer for Lawrence Côté-Collins' films, including Écartée and Bungalow - the latter earning her a nomination for Best Production Design at the Gala Québec Cinéma. She has also contributed to the unique visual worlds of singular feature films such as Jennifer Alleyn's Kaïros and Simon Harrisson's The Galactic Ghoul. In parallel, her expertise as a set decorator has led her to work on several major American productions filmed in Montreal, notably Source Code, Warm Bodies, Lucky Number Slevin, and Wicker Park.
